Spa Etiquette

Not sure what to expect or how to act during your Spa visit? Read on.

Booking your appointment…

Appointments are recommended. Please keep in mind that weekends and evenings often fill our schedule early. All appointments must be booked by phone or in person at the spa location you wish to visit. You will be asked to provide a credit card or gift certificate number when you make your appointment. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to give you time to prepare for your treatment.

Before you arrive…

We suggest you leave all valuables and jewellery at home, as we cannot be responsible for lost or stolen property.

For your health and safely we ask that alcohol not be consumed before or after your treatment.

If you need to cancel…

As a courtesy for our clients and therapists, we require at least 24 hours notice to change or cancel any appointments and 48 hours for all spa packages and groups of 2 or more people. We reserve the right to charge 100% of the value of the treatment in the case of a no-show or cancellation with less than 24 hours notice.

Once you arrive…

Upon arriving at the Spa, you will be provided with a robe, slippers and a locker for your personal belongings.

Please turn off your cell phone or pager and refrain from loud conversation to ensure a relaxing environment for all guests.

Only those guests having services will be permitted in the spa. Friends and family will be required to wait in the reception area.

During your visit to the spa…

Your health
Please inform us of any medical conditions or allergies, including pregnancy so we can adjust the treatment for your maximum safety and enjoyment.

Your comfort
Our professional therapists are trained in modesty draping to ensure your privacy during the session. If you prefer to keep your underwear on, please do. Your comfort is paramount. Disposable undergarments are also available on request. During the Thai Massage you remain fully clothed.

You can choose to talk during your treatment or remain quiet; the therapist will follow your lead. If you are uncomfortable with any part of your treatment, please let your therapist know.

Gratuities are not included in the price of our services, packages or gift certificates and can be added to credit card, cheque or debit. We welcome your gratuities as a reflection of the quality of service provided. For group and corporate events a 15% gratuity will be automatically added to the final account. For your convenience envelopes are available at the front desk.

Beverages are complimentary during your visit. All spa packages include a snack or lunch. If you would like to add a lunch to your time at the spa, mention at the time of booking and we can make the arrangements.

Age Requirements

Esthetic Spa Services:
Sanctuary Day Spas is unable to offer esthetic spa services or admission to anyone under the age of 12 years. Please note that children of any age may not accompany parents for treatments or in waiting lounges.

Massage Therapy:
Sanctuary Day Spas is pleased to welcome guests for massage therapy 16 years of age and older. A parent or guardian is required to sign a consent form for massage therapy guests under the age of 18.
