Reservations & Cancellations

A valid credit card is required to make an online reservation. Gift Cards cannot be used to reserve online bookings, however can be redeemed for payment in spa only.

No pre-payment will be charged and the treatment is payable on checkout. We require 24-hours notice to cancel single appointments & 48-hours notice to cancel multiple appointments and groups of 2 guests or more. Any cancellations received short of the requested notification time will result in a 50% charge for the scheduled service.

When should I arrive?
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment as you may have to fill out a health history form, we do not want to take the time away from your actual appointment to complete it. If you are running late for your appointment, please give us a courtesy call to let us know when you will be arriving.  Your treatment time may be reduced in order to finish by the scheduled time as we do not want to inconvenience the next scheduled guest.  The service fee will not be reduced and will remain the same.

I have a medical condition, is it still ok to have my treatments?
Please advise us of any medical conditions and allergies prior to receiving your spa treatment so that we can ensure they are suitable for you. If you are uncertain or concerned, please obtain permission from your physician before scheduling any services.

What if I’m pregnant?
If you are a mom-to-be or have health concerns, please let us know so we may consult with you on Spa Services that are recommended during this time.

Prenatal Massage is only available to women past their first trimester. Massage and Body Wraps are not recommended for mothers-to-be. Please consult with your doctor prior to making arrangements.

What do I need to book an appointment?
If you are a first-time guest or booking multiple services, we will require a valid credit card (Visa or Mastercard) or a Sanctuary Gift Certificate to secure the appointment for you.

What should I wear during my treatment?
Most body treatments are enjoyed without clothing; however, please wear what is most comfortable for you. During all treatments the body is fully draped, except for the area being worked on. Before and after your treatment robes and slippers are provided.

What about my jewelry and valuables?
Lockers are available for your personal items. Please do not bring valuables to the spa. The spa is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.  Before departing the Spa, please ensure that you have collected all personal items from your locker or the pockets of your bathrobe.

Should I shave before a treatment?
Shaving is recommended, but not necessary for men prior to a facial. If you do choose to shave prior to your facial, be sure to do so at least 2 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Shaving is not recommended prior to any body treatments or hair removal services.

Do I get an insurance receipt for RMT?
After your massage is completed, your therapist will issue a receipt that includes their provincial registration number, which you can submit to your insurance provider.

Special Consideration
We offer guests an opportunity to escape to a relaxing atmosphere. Please enjoy quiet conversation and refrain from using cell phones. The spa is a smoke-free and vape-free environment. For complete privacy, please avoid camera usage in the spa.

Is there a minimum age for treatments?
Sanctuary cannot permit children under the age of 12 in the spa.

Aesthetic Services – we welcome teens 12 -16 years of age to have services when accompanied by an adult.

Registered Massage Therapy – a parent or legal guardian must sign written consent and be present in the room while an RMT the massage is being performed when a youth is under 16 years of age.

Laser Hair Reduction – guests must be 18 years of age and older.

What is provided on my spa day?
Each Sanctuary location has changing facilities, you will be provided a personal locker equipped with a bathrobe and slippers for your use.

Communicate with Your Technician
To get the most out of your day spa treatment, communicate with your technician. Your comfort and enjoyment are important to us, so let us know if you have concerns about depth of pressure, the temperature of your spa room, music volume or other issues.

Is Wi-Fi available?
We have designed Sanctuary to be a peaceful oasis of tranquillity, where guests can relax and release every day tensions.  In order to preserve this peaceful and calm atmosphere, cell phone use is not encouraged, and Wi-Fi is not available.

What if I am late for my appointment?
Arriving late will simply limit the time for your treatment, thus lessening its effectiveness and your enjoyment. Your treatment will end on time so that the next guest will not be delayed. The full value of your treatment will be applied.

What is the cancellation policy?
24-hour notice for single appointments

48-hour notice for multiple appointments and groups over 2 guests

Do you cater large group bookings?
In order to maintain the ambience of the spa, we limit group bookings to a maximum of eight people per group. We only accept one large group booking per day.

Are gift certificates available?
Gifts of relaxation are available at our spa or you can purchase online.  While you may have a specific spa service in mind for someone, we recommend you choose an amount that will allow them to choose their own spa experience.
