The secret of Restylane is hyaluronic acid, a natural substance already present in the human body, which plays an important role in giving firmness to the skin, shape to the eyes and lubrication to the joints. Hyaluronic acid has the important ability to attract and bind to water molecules to help maintain volume.

Restylane is fully biocompatible, and treatments can be carried out immediately with no need to wait for allergy testing.

Restylane utilizes NASHA™–Non-Animal Stabilized Hyaluronic Acid–the first stable, biodegradable, non-animal hyaluronic acid. As a non-animal product, there is limited risk of animal-based disease transmission or allergic reaction. Restylane contains trace amounts of gram-positive bacterial proteins and should not be used by patients with a history of allergies to such material. Restylane should also not be used by patients with severe allergies manifested by history of anaphylaxis, or a history or presence of multiple severe allergies.

HOW LONG DOES RESTYLANE LAST?
How long Restylane holds its effects depends on many individual factors, including your age, skin type, lifestyle and muscle activity, as well as on the injection technique. Treatment results generally last for about six months.

HOW MUCH DOES A RESTYLANE TREATMENT COST?
Restylane treatments are customized to each individual's specific needs, so the cost varies from client to client. Treatments typically cost in the $300 to $1,000 range. With follow-ups required only about twice per year, Restylane proves to be economical over the long term.

DO RESTYLANE INJECTIONS HURT?
Restylane is injected into the skin in tiny amounts using an ultra fine needle. To optimize your comfort during the short procedure, your aesthetic physician will anesthetize the treatment area prior to injecting.

might have some redness or swelling. This will normally last less than seven days. Sunbathing and cold outdoor activities should be avoided until any redness or swelling disappear. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or under 18, you shouldn't use Restylane.

CAN RESTYLANE REPLACE SURGICAL PROCEDURES?
No, although Restylane is sometimes used in conjunction with surgery in order to fill out wrinkles that cannot be removed by surgery.

CAN RESTYLANE BE REMOVED?
No. However, Restylane dissolves naturally with time. If you feel uncertain about the desired result, you can choose to have the treatment done in steps on different occasions.
